There is still lots of time to complete your film! Deadline is November 24!
• RULES: Create a 90 second (or less) film between October 14 & November 24.
• NOTE: This contest is open to everyone! You do not have to be a WFG member nor do you have to live in Winnipeg.
• DEADLINE: All completed films must arrive at the WFG office (304-100 Arthur St. Winnipeg, MB R3B 1H3) by 5pm on Tuesday, November 24. (no extensions)
• FORMATS: a 16mm or 35mm film print or a playable DVD and file of your film/video on DVD (.mov, .avi)
• SCREENING: Friday, December 4 at 7pm at the Cinematheque. Admission is $5.00.
• PRIZES: 1/3 of the door will go to the makers of the film awarded the special jury prize!
• PARTY: Immediately following the contest we will be having a rockin’ x-mas party in the WFG studio! Come one, come all!

So epic dolly meet was epic. Thanks again to ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) snightmoon (and http://www.sakuraden.ca respectively) for renting the room and donating prizes for this year's Halloween dolly meet!
There was a costume contest and I won second prize, earning me a bag of goodies <3 Not too shabby for throwing something together at midnight the night before ^_^; I made Sain's staff and crown, I might sell it, try and maybe make some more things like that to sell :D

Cassie's had it. After the last mission, she realizes she's getting tired of missions. Tired of battles. Tired of being an Animorph. She decides that she just can't do it anymore. So she quits.
But that's not the worst that's happened. It seems a human-controller named Karen followed Kassie after the last run-in with the Yeerks. And she knows Cassie is an Andalite-or human. Either way, if she exposes Cassie, it's all over. No more Cassie. No more Animorphs. And no more Earth...
I can see how long the talk on this book is gonna be lol. Ther'e'll be a lot of speaking out about Cassie and her actions, but there is also one good thing about this book. I do like how KAA plunges us into shades of gray and shows us the Yeerk's POV. She lets us actually feel a bit of empathy for them.
I still think it would have been interesting if Aftran had stayed inside Cassie for a while but I can see why it was dangerous too. I think they should've made her a human nothlit with that frolis thingy, but then I'm getting a little ahead of myself. That's not until The Sickness.

I spent Sat at a tattoo palour with my partner, and saw a design on the wall that just screamed Yeerk...so i got it on my foot. =) hehe
wondering if anyone else as something?

ok i finally took a photo of it...
its only 2 days old, so is still fresh, and will fade heaps.
Firstly, it doesn't look anything like a yeerk on the book covers or in the tv series, because it is what a yeerk looked like in my head.

I was recently laid off and haven't had any luck whatsoever finding work in person or online. I'm looking for full-time anything.
If anybody here knows of any decent places that are hiring, let me know.
I've tried looking elsewhere online, but the majority of those ads are for house cleaners or telemarketers.

Why is it that my computer crashes when I'm only about two-hundred words away from finishing a fic I hadn't saved at any point? I mean, hey, my computer is a nice computer. Yesterday, I'd have told you I couldn't remember the last time it crashed on me.
I've still got fragments floating around in my head, so I may try to recreate the fic but ... ARGH. Worse things have happened and are happening right now, I know, I know. *sigh*
In case you were curious: the fic in question was a Narnia/Doctor Who crossover with Susan as the Doctor's companion, which I'd pledged to write for be_themoon in the Fall Fandom Free For All. Which makes the ARGH even worse, because there's no way I can pull off a second plotbunny for that set-up.
On a more cheerful note: thanks to paperflowered, I'm signed up for Yuletide.

It's true, I've been updating everyday as planned! Hopefully you guys have been checking out the site ;)
The latest comic was from yesterday (I always seem to update at the last minute before bed):
A special, less sketchy version than normal. Still working out character designs as I go, hopefully they will kind of evolve on their own. I may be coming up to enough panels now to warrant a whole page :)
Make sure to keep checking the main comic page or subscribe to the RSS feed on the site for instant updates as they happen! Also, I will resurrect my Twitter feed: AnimorphsComic I'll probably only update the LJ once a week. Maybe I should start my own Animorphs Graphic Novel LJ community? Yesterday was a good day for me in a series of bad days. I realized that it has been two weeks since my pain level has been at its baseline of 5/6. It's been 7/10 or more for the last several days. I've tried injections of Toradol and Vistaril and I can go up to twice a week as an outpatient. I had one day that the injections worked for about two hours and the next day, it didn't do anything at all! There doesn't seem to be a whole lot that helps for any length of time. Relief is temporary at best. I feel really tired although I don't have any reason to be sleepy. I have discovered that Halcion, Benadryl(Otc), and Zanaflex at bedtime works well for knocking me out for several hours. I don't gradually fall asleep. One minute I'm awake, the next, I'm out like a light. Then, I'm unconscious for 8-10 hours or so. I do not have a drug hangover either. I usuallly don't have a problem falling asleep. It's staying asleep that's the problem. If I don't have sleep aids, I sleep for about 4 hours max and then wake up. At that point, I'm wide awake and can't fall back to sleep. Feeling sorry for myself today. Sick and tired of being sick and tired!!

if you have carpet where you live with you and your cat / cats, what do you find has been the BEST vacuum? we have 2 vacuums, and i find the suction isnt the best it could be for removing the hair off the carpet, so im looking into getting a new one. price isnt an issue, so im interested in hearing all opinions expensive or not. thanks in advance.

This might be a long shot but does anyone work in a place where they throw out small bubbled bubblewrap? I have a small business and use bubble wrap for mailing out my jewelry orders and am running out. Let me know if you know of anyone who could help me out. I'd really love to recycle it rather than have to buy it. Thanks for any help!

yep, this officially sucks.
migraine has not abated since yesterday. got a little better, i think, but maybe that's only b/c i was sleeping. my brain and body are still almost entirely offline. i talked to a nurse at my neurologist's office, who says i can only take 1 more axert before i've reached my max for a 24-hour period; which is fine really b/c clearly they are not very effective at the moment anyway. so i'm supposed to do that, then if it doesn't kill the migraine cycle, go to the ER for the IV drugs as i got lectured for not doing last time this happened.
which is a whole new set of problems, b/c i can't drive myself to the ER as they won't give me any sort of anything until i have someone to drive me home. i don't actually know that many people who live close by, and i feel uber-guilty about asking anyone to interrupt their friday night plans to spend time at the ER with me as it is sure to be an ordeal. i don't want to do it myself, and i'm the one with the migraine, so i can only imagine how irritating it would be for someone else.
sooo...kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place here. maybe i will just take the triptan again, and it will work, and none of this will even be an issue. maybe.

A friend of mine is a Shaw customer (tv and internet). He's one of those people that never looks at his bills.
After several years, he finally glanced at one and found a monthly charge ($5, I think) for a second IP address, which he didn't know he had and obviously doesn't use.
He called Shaw and the woman claims that all customers are automatically billed for a second IP, but then the charge is credited. She says that the credit is within the bundle discount that he gets from having tv and internet.
I'm not a Shaw customer, so I cannot confirm or deny that all customers are charged for a second IP address. Can anyone in this fine community yay or nay this charge on their own bill?
This seems very shady to me and I think Shaw has over-billed him hundreds of dollars over the years.

The charge actually appears on his Statement of Account online, not his bill.

So I have found a couple of places that I could potentially be working. It's amazing how you can hear nothing for almost a year then be bombarded with interviews within a months time o_o; I went and filled some paperwork out, so technically I'm employed again, it's just a matter of sending me in for the temp work. I went mostly for filing and data entry, people don't seem to bother you too much in those kinds of jobs, so that will be good.
Speaking of 'hearing', I've been having trouble with hearing in my left ear since I can remember. I poked it with a q-tip when I was younger so it was always a bit dull. The other night my boyfriend was experimenting with some science stuff (not ON me lol) and the outcome of it seemed to be my ear plugging up like someone stuffed it with cotton, and immediately after it felt like it filled up the ringing started. I've had ringing in my ear for..what...this is day 5 now. I have to sleep with my headphones on, I was hoping it would go away. I went to the doctor and he told me that there is nothing wrong with my ear physically, so it has to be either attached to my migraines, or part of natural hearing loss. :/ I don't care if I lose hearing in one ear, so long as this high pitched shriek goes out soon. It's nothing to 'get used to' either, because the frequency of it changes at random. =_=;
At any rate, Lotus is finally on her way home! Next week I should have that MNF Marcia....yes yes...CP slut am I...I'm aware of this XD I don't like the newer luts dolls though, I've been told Crobi helps them now or something, hard to follow now where all the dolls I like are going to go since Fairyland doesn't make Delf size dolls. The next one up on the block is Shinji Fox, an SS Harang. I want this one back, so will have to do some saving up once this job mess gets figured out. urgh. Temp work in offices would rock, getting paid more than min wage would rock too, but it's not always guaranteed work :/
I'm currently working on getting my drivers license. I have to get my Health Card address changed over, and then I can go down and write my test, likely next week XD With the start of that comes the start of the job I WANT to do. I wanna DRIVE. Delivery in city, cross country, cross north america...that would be great <3 And hey, I could stop in to see all my fave dolly people XD
My leg is finally healing nicely, the bruise looks ugly, and there's a part of my leg I can no longer feel :/ It grosses me right out...ew.ew.ew....I'm hoping the feeling will come back in it when it's fully healed....I wish I could just get a new body and click my head right on it, just like a dolly, wouldn't that be something?
